Meghan Deere

Meghan Deere is a theatre educator and community artist who has created projects with and for youth in Canada and Internationally (Peru, India, United Kingdom, Northern Ireland). Her current focus is teaching dramatic creative alternatives to desk based learning as well as theatre for students with learning difficulties.

Ongoing projects include working with Cree youth in Northern Quebec and leading performance workshops at Concordia University. She is the Artistic Director of Theatre Caboodle, an Ontario based youth ensemble with annual 'young artist retreats' and touring performances.

She holds a Masters in Applied Theatre (Drama in the Community and Theatre in Education) from the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, UK.

 

Lowell Gasoi

Lowell Gasoi spent over 20 years as an actor, director and producer in the professional theatre before turning his attention to the study of communication, rhetoric and performance at Concordia University's renowned Communications Studies department.

His Elysian River Theatre presented everything from outdoor Shakespeare to an adaptation of the Lord of the Rings. He has been a strategist for the Quebec Drama Federation, the English Language Arts Network and the Ottawa School of Speech and Drama, and sits on the Board of Directors for Lakeshore Players.

Lowell is a passionate believer in the inspiring beauty and transformative power of the well-crafted message.

 

Robert Higden

A graduate of the John Abbott Professional Theatre program, Robert has appeared in over 50 television shows and feature films, including: The Reagans opposite Judy Davis, Battlefield Earth opposite John Travolta, Gleason opposite Brad Garrett, and Swamp Devil opposite Bruce Dern.

He is best known as the absent minded vice-principal, Mr. Noseworthy, on the popular YTV series Radio Active.

Robert is one of the founding member of the highly acclaimed improv troupe, On the Spot, and performed with them for 18 years. He was even chosen to compete on the Montreal team in the Just For Laughs Improv Tournament for several years running. The tournament aired, live, on The Comedy Network, and twice, Robert’s team won first place.

 


Mike MigliaraMike Migliara

Casting Director

Mike Migliara has been a Casting Director for over 10 years, conducting extensive talent searches across Canada. His most recent credits are "Cybergeddon" – a TV Movie he co-cast with Larissa Mair in Toronto, Spike TV's Blue Mountain State and Award Winning Indie Films such as "Snow & Ashes" and "3 Saisons". Other recognizable casting credits include Warner Bros. "Get Smart", Ubisoft's "Assasians Creed: Lineage", Denis Villeneuve's "Polytechnique" and George Clooney's "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind".

Mike has worked on over 100 media projects and has worked with great artists such as Denis Villeneuve, Charles Olivier Michaud, Peter Segal, Andrew Lazar, Andre Rouleau, Irene Litinsky, as well as onscreen talent such as George Clooney, William Baldwin, Michael Madson, Jeremy Northam, Colm Feore, Steve Carell, Rutger Hauer, Sam Rockwell, Ray Liotta, Karine Vanasse, Luc Picard and so many more.

Mike opened YourCasting.ca in order to educate actors on his unique approach to the craft – an approach that blends traditional methodologies (Meisner, Strasberg, Stanislavski, etc.) with the "real world" career and working life of the actor. All coaches are trained with this approach.
